Located just a stone's throw from the iconic Padmanabhaswamy Temple, the property beautifully balances convenience with charm. The hosts, Mr Jayan and Ms. Anitha, create an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home-almost like family. During my stay, I enjoyed traditional Kerala breakfasts, including puttu served with a curried lentil dish and bananas. While I've experienced more vibrant flavors in other places, it was a refreshing introduction to local cuisine. The collection of antiques scattered throughout the homestay offered a visual delight, showcasing the region's rich history. For a deep culinary dive, I suggest visiting Panchali Restaurant nearby-it's a hidden gem where I found some delightful vegetarian options that brought a broader perspective on Kerala's flavors. Nalinam Homestay offers a unique blend of cultural richness and hospitality. It is a fantastic budget-friendly option for those looking to explore both the natural beauty and history of Trivandrum.
